Vermont State Police divers found the body Wednesday believed to be that of Lee Wiktorski, 61, in Lake Champlain.
Wiktorski, of Benson, was ice fishing on the lake near Orwell.
The body was sent to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to confirm the identity and cause of death.
The Vermont State Police searched near a submerged silver pickup truck found Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle was under 22 feet of water and was found using sonar.
A concerned relative reported Witkorski missing late Monday.
The U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife and Benson Fire/Ice Rescue helped with the search.
