Authorities arrested half a dozen people in northern Vermont this week on charges related to production and distribution of methamphetamine, according to the Vermont State Police.

The arrests grew out of an investigation connected to the arrest in late May of Terry Parson Jr., 33, of Barton, police said. He was charged with possession and distribution of meth.

The Vermont State Police clandestine lab team searched Parson’s home and said they found evidence indicating the manufacturing of meth.

The state police continued the investigation in a broad collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, including the Newport Police Department.

This week police arrested six others on charges related to manufacturing meth, according to the Vermont State Police. They were identified as Amber Parson Jr., 27, of Bellows Falls; Danna Shover, 31, of Newport; Cory Carpenter, 35, of Newport; Doris Gibney, 58, of Newport; Damion Gage, 23, of Brownington; and Donald Sabens III, 34, of Barton.

Terry Parson, who is already in custody, is facing seven conspiracy counts along with charges of cruelty to a child, reckless endangerment, and sale and possession of meth.
